Bio
Daan started at the Issuemakers in September 2023 as a junior advisor. He previously worked at the National Student Union and did an internship at campaign agency DeGoedeZaak. Daan studied Philosophy (BA) at Utrecht University and Political Communication at the University of Amsterdam (MSc).
At Issuemakers, Daan focuses mainly on public affairs and devising and implementing media strategies. Daan is also a board member of the Lowlander Project foundation.
Which issue does this issue maker regularly work on?
Climate, education, youth and democracy are important themes for Daan. These themes are all intertwined, because to meet the challenges of the future, we need young people who can be leaders. He therefore also considers the aging population to be an important issue: how do you ensure that young people participate in decisions about the future when there are more and more elderly people?
