World Young Talent Day

Today is World Young Talent Day, and we would like to take this opportunity to shine the spotlight on young people and all their capabilities. Every now and then a teenager or twenty-something makes the news with an exceptional invention or achievement, but in our opinion we are now dealing with generations that are overflowing with ambition and a sense of responsibility. Many organizations rely on the efforts of young people. They are politically or socially involved and try to unite.

Young talents and issues
For example, Issuemakers spoke with the a few months ago Not My Fault movement. In this, young people, with the help of trade unions, stand up for their own rights. They unite and express their opinions through creative campaigns and demonstrations. We talked to them about it opinion leadership of their generation. They put their own issue on the map very successfully.

Not only students and young people are committed to social causes, younger groups are also doing this. Take Youth for Climate Netherlands, for example. This foundation is run by high school students, who involve thousands of other students in the organization with their working groups and actions. Together they want to draw the attention of all young people to the climate issue, in addition to addressing politicians and the business community. It remains impressive to see how professionally the young people of Youth for Climate NL approach this and how much time they put into it in addition to the everyday obligations of a high school student. We are happy that we were able to support this young group with their communication plan.

Young talents at Issuemakers
At Issuemakers we really appreciate the breath of fresh air that young people can bring to the team. In addition to the auxiliary staff we already had, we welcomed no fewer than seven talented young people to our team in 2021. Due to their expertise and enthusiasm, they each have a fresh perspective on the issues we deal with, and we keep each other sharp.

Young people are the future and, in our opinion, their talent should be better utilized and made more visible. So think about it extra today: which young talents are indispensable in your area?
