This is a temporary position for 6 months (32 hours per week) to replace maternity leave. The start date is September 1, 2025.
The function
As a mid-level PR and strategic communications consultant, you'll work on current and social themes, such as sustainability, health, and social inclusion. You'll support clients in developing and implementing effective communication and PR strategies. You'll develop media strategies, write press releases or opinion pieces, and advise clients on an ad hoc basis. You'll be able to make complex topics accessible and translate them into compelling messages for various target groups and stakeholders. You'll transition seamlessly between strategic plans and practical implementation, collaborating closely in multidisciplinary teams within Issuemakers and with colleagues from the European Rud Pedersen Group.
You'll also be responsible for (co-)developing and implementing communication plans, creating content, and organizing communication activities. You'll also support senior advisors and mentor junior colleagues as needed.
What are you going to do?
- Contribute to communication and PR strategies
- Drafting and sending out press releases, press approach
- Drafting key messages, Q&As, content and opinion pieces
- Developing or implementing stakeholder management
- Media training guidance
- Identifying relevant political, social and media signals
- Organizing and coordinating communication and media activities
- Contribute to presentations, pitches and supporting documents
- Supporting knowledge sharing within the team and the wider network
Who are we looking for?
- You have approximately 3 to 5 years of experience in PR and communications, preferably on the agency side or in a political-administrative environment
- You are strategic and have strong communication skills, but also practical and hands-on.
- You have experience in maintaining media contacts and drafting press releases
- You write well and can communicate clearly and collaborate
- You have insight into the media landscape and political dynamics
- You communicate convincingly in Dutch and English
- You are independent, eager to learn and enjoy a varied role
