Two new advisors at De Issuemakers

The advisory team of De Issuemakers is expanding with two new advisors. Marit Holman will start as advisor on January 2, 2019 and Pieter Idenburg will start as senior advisor on February 1.

Marit said goodbye to ABN AMRO in mid-December, where she worked as a strategy consultant. Pieter is now director of communications at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality and starts as a senior advisor with the public sector as a special area of interest. De Issuemakers strengthens its advisory team of 18 employees with these two advisors.

After studying Dutch language and culture in Groningen, Marit Holman started working at a communications agency and then at ABNAMRO. She worked for several years as... press officer and subsequently as business manager for the General Manager Commercial & Corporate Clients. Her last position at the bank was strategy consultant for the investment bank, advising senior management and the Executive Committee. At De Issuemakers, Marit will work as a strategic advisor for organizations in the financial and media technology sector.

Pieter Idenburg will work as a communications director at the Ministry of Agriculture, Nature and Food Quality until early 2019. There he was responsible for setting up a new, fully-fledged Communications Directorate and for the entire communication of this new ministry. Before that, he was Director of Communications at the Ministry of Social Affairs and Employment for 8 years, where he headed the department and also managed large-scale projects. In his career he previously worked as editor-in-chief of Zorgvisie, as an organizational consultant at Andersson Elffers Felix and as a spokesperson for the Minister and State Secretary of Health, Welfare and Sport. Within De Issuemakers, Pieter will work for larger accounts and in the public sector.

The Issue makers is a communications consultancy from Amstelveen that focuses on advising and supporting organizations that have or want to make a social impact. This almost always concerns social issues that an organization wants, can or must do something about. The agency consists of 16 advisors and is led by Mayke van Keep and Sybrig van Keep. In 2018 the book 'Issue thinking' by Mayke and Sybrig in which they explain the theory and practice of issue thinking. In addition, the agency annually issues the Issue calendar out. Furthermore, the Issuemakers organizes one every year Issue conference where the Issue Award is also presented to the person or organization that has put an issue on the social and political agenda in a special way in the past year. This year the Issue Congress will take place on January 24, 2019 in De Balie, in Amsterdam.
